Joan E. Shoults


Joan is the firm’s paralegal and is indispensable asset to our attorneys and clients.  She has an extensive background of experience in domestic relations and family law, and is very knowledgeable in assisting our domestic clients through the most difficult times of their lives.  She is responsible for drafting domestic documents, communication with clients and outside attorneys, and a variety of other office related duties.

Joan is a 1979 graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.  She has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in speech communications.  In 1980, Joan graduated from the Capital University Paralegal Program.  Joan has been employed in the legal field for over 30 years, and has been Dianne Einstein’s paralegal for almost 20 years.

Joan is a leukemia survivor, and received a bone marrow transplant in April 2016.  She is very active in multiple volunteer roles for The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Center as a patient advisor, committee advisor, and speaker.  Joan is also involved in many activities in her Delaware, Ohio community.

Joan resides with her husband, Benny, and their three dogs, one cat, and one very loud bird.
