Mediation is a confidential process that some clients choose to resolve their family law or employment law issues. Dianne serves as a mediator in family law cases and employment law cases.
In family law cases, the parties can choose to hire a mediator, who is an impartial third person, to assist them in deciding how to divide their assets and how to handle the issues of custody of their children. The parties can choose to mediate their case with or without each of them having attorneys. The mediation process is confidential so you can feel comfortable discussing your concerns and the issues of your case without worry that the information that you disclose in confidence to the mediator will be used against you in court.
Dianne’s experience as a family law attorney benefits our family law mediation clients because she can help you and your spouse understand Ohio’s laws on all aspects of your case including calculating child support, dividing your assets and debts, and providing different parenting plan options.
Dianne’s experience as an employment lawyer benefits our employment mediation clients because she can assist employers and employees in resolving their differences. Litigating employment cases is very expensive, and it can take years to complete your case. Mediation is an excellent way to resolve your case quickly and confidentially.
The mediator is not a judge and does not make decisions for you. Your mediator will facilitate your negotiations and assist you in reaching an agreement that you choose. A decision cannot be imposed on you in mediation, and the mediator does not choose sides.
Dianne has received extensive mediation training. In fact, the Delaware County domestic court has hired Dianne to serve as a mediator on its behalf during its settlement week.
Dianne looks forward to helping you reach the best decision for you and your family during mediation.
